General Questions
What types of services does Utilistics provide?

We deliver a comprehensive range of surveying and technical services, including Topographic Surveys, Underground Utility Surveys, Drone (UAV) Surveys, Terrestrial Laser Scanning, and Engineering Surveys. These services support planning, design, construction, asset management, and digital modelling across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

We provide full PAS 128‑compliant Underground Utility Surveys using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), radio‑detection, chamber inspections, and desktop utility searches. Our surveys identify the position, depth, and characteristics of buried services and can be delivered as 2D/3D CAD drawings, BIM models, PDF reports, or on‑site mark‑ups.

Yes. We prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings, utility maps, topographic plans, as‑built documentation, cross‑sections, long‑sections, and BIM‑ready outputs. Whether you need updates to existing drawings or new models generated from survey data, we provide accurate, standards‑compliant deliverables.

Yes. Our drone surveys use photogrammetry, LiDAR, or hybrid payloads to capture high‑resolution aerial data. This supports topographic mapping, orthophotos, roof and façade inspections, volumetric calculations, thermal imaging, and asset inspections. All operations are carried out by certified IAA drone pilots with full insurance cover.

How do I request a quotation or project proposal?

You can request a quotation by emailing info@utilistics.ie or using the contact form on our website. Please include your site location, project scope, timelines, and any drawings or reference information you have. We will review your requirements and provide a tailored proposal.

For most surveys, we require the site address, a site plan (if available), project objectives, access details, and any existing utility records or design information. For drone surveys, additional considerations such as airspace restrictions may apply. We will guide you through the exact requirements during the initial consultation.

We work with both residential and commercial clients. Our experience ranges from small private plots to major national infrastructure schemes, including roads, rail, utilities, commercial developments, educational campuses, and industrial facilities.

Lead times vary depending on project size and location. For most surveys, we recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance. Larger or multi‑disciplinary projects may require additional planning. We always aim to accommodate urgent or time‑sensitive requests where possible.

Are you insured to carry out surveying and technical work on client sites?

Yes. Utilistics maintains comprehensive insurance, including public liability and professional indemnity cover. All drone operations are carried out under approved IAA procedures with appropriate aviation insurance.

Yes. Based in Athlone and operating remotely, we provide surveying and technical services throughout Ireland. Travel requirements and logistics can be discussed during the quotation stage.

Safety is central to our operations. We follow structured risk assessments, safe systems of work, and industry best practices for working around utilities, traffic, and public environments. All equipment is maintained to professional standards, and drone operations follow IAA regulations. Appropriate PPE and lone‑working protocols are used on every site.
